I’m going to see my best friend at school/going home for Easter weekend! I dressed nicely but still casual for when I see her with a cream and black lace top (TJ Maxx), black and cream silk tuxedo pants (TJ Maxx) and black suede wedge sneakers (Marshall’s). I added some cream and gold dangly earrings (Charlotte Russe), kept my hair curled and down, did a gold smokey eye and added a wine colored lip (Mary Kay). Happy Easter weekend!!
Playing with monochromatic palates is one of my favorite things in fashion, especially with all black! It’s tricky because matching blacks is hard to do, but is easily achieved when you mixed textures. I wore a layered chiffon dress (Truly Rhe) with velvet leggings (Express) and suede wedge sneakers (Marshall’s). I also added my purple and gold arrow belt (Vintage), my gold and black spike earrings (Charlotte Russe) for a pop of color. I curly my hair and pulled it half back and did a simple smudgy cat eye for makeup. This outfit screams sleek and edgy!
Do you have a fashion page on facebook that I can like/follow? Really love your blog!<3
I don’t, but that’s actually a really interesting idea! Maybe I’ll look into that! XOXO
It snowed today… In April… So I have to revert back to my winter layers! I wore a grey knit dress (Marshall’s) with black leggings (New York & Co.), a men’s blue button down (Target), black combat boots (Target) and a black and white scarf (Walmart). Let’s hope this weather doesn’t continue!!
I wore my new light wash overall shorts today (Target)! I’ve been wanting a pair for so long so I finally went out and purchased some! These are perfect because the light wash makes them seem more chic than young child. I paired them with a black velvet long sleeve crop top (TJ Maxx) to show some skin on the side, grey thigh high socks (Target) and black suede wedge sneakers (Marshall’s). I added a dramatic red lip and kept my hair curly and and messy to keep a grungy vibe to this look.
I'm going to a Miley concert on Saturday and I have no idea what to wear! Do you have any general recommendations? (Obviously not specific articles of clothing because we don't have the same closet hahah)
That’s so awesome!! First of all, it’s a Miley concert, so “over the top” isn’t exactly a concept that will exist. And secondly, it’s getting warmer, so concert wear is getting back in to full swing!
Personally, I would go with some bright colors with maybe a statement pattern. Like a bright cropped T-Shirt and statement pattern pants/leggings/shorts. Or a bralette and super high waisted shorts/skirt. She likes to wear sporty things, too, so maybe if you have anything in that realm, you could work off of that!
You could also think of going with more of a plain outfit but amp up the accessories. Throw in some suspenders, thigh high stockings, platform sneakers, obnoxiously bright lipstick, statement chain necklaces/earrings, etc.
Hope this helps!! Good luck and have so much fun this weekend! XOXO
How many followers do you have? I feel like you should have soooo many. Any time I find friends on tumblr I immediately tell them to go follow you because you're like my favorite blog lol :)
Haha well I mean I have a good amount but not nearly close to a number that I would necessarily brag about. But that means so much to me! I would love for you to share my blog! I have a goal to get to by the start of the summer so hopefully I’ll get there! :)
I’m going to see a comedy show tonight, so casual is best! I wore a black tiger tank (TJ Maxx) with my grey skinny jeans (TJ Maxx) and black and white polka dot flats (Payless). I added a black bandanna in my hair to add to this monochromatic outfit for a fun night out!
For my hair today, I pulled in a black bandana and put it on around my head on top of all my hair. Then I went and grabbed some hair section by section, rolled it up around the bandana and stuffed it inside the bandana. I pinned where it was necessary to keep everything in place and pulled some pieces out to give a messier look overall!
I played around with some really pretty pastel colors today! I started with a very light shimmer pink creme shadow as a base (e.l.f.) and on top went from a light silver in the inner corner to a light purple in the middle and darker on the outside with a bright pink color in the crease (Urban Decay Vice 2). I then did a thick cat eye (e.l.f.) and added a lot of mascara, especially to the bottom lashes (Mary Kay).
